The love triangle is easily one of the most popular and with good reason – it brings drama, laughs, and lots of boys to the yard.
So, I’ve rounded up this list with some of my all-time favorite romantic Korean dramas with a love triangle and I know you’ll love them!
1. Boys Over Flowers
Geum Jan Di, a poor girl, saves a student from suicide at Shinhwa High and then earns a scholarship to the prestigious high school.
When she resumes, she has an issue with F4, the wealthy elite, led by Gu Jun Pyo, and becomes their target, but soon finds herself in a love triangle with her tormentor and his best friend.
2. Strong Woman Do Bong Soon
Bong Soon, a strong woman, protects her crush, Min Hyuk, from danger while hiding her feelings for her childhood friend, Guk Doo, and her secret powers.
3. Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha
Dentist Yoon Hye Jin moves to a seaside village and almost immediately clashes with local jack-of-all-trades, Hong Do Shik, while setting up her practice, but what she doesn’t know is that her friend, a director, is also in love with her.

4. Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo
More like a love decagon, Go Ha Jin finds herself the object of affection of several princes in this time travel Korean drama set in the Goryeo Dynasty.
5. My Girlfriend Is A Gumiho
Cha Dae Woong accidentally frees a Gumiho (who names herself Mi Ho) and helps her become human while falling in love with her, but both Mi Ho and Dae Woong have people batting for their attention.
6. Love In Contract
In this lovely drama, contract marriage expert Choi Sang Eun juggles feelings for her client, Ji Ho, and popular actor Hae Jin, who has loved her all his life.
7. Alchemy of Souls
Assassin Naksu’s soul is trapped in servant Mu Deok’s body, which leads to a collaboration with noble Jang Uk to change their fates, but she soon realises that two mages have fallen for her.
8. True Beauty
The way I see it, this high school Korean drama invented the second male lead syndrome, and if you’re in the mood to see two whipped male leads who are all that a girl could ask for, you’ll love this one.
9. While You Were Sleeping
Nam Hong Ju and rookie prosecutor Jung Jae Chan share prophetic dreams and work together to prevent disasters, and they soon discover that someone else can also see visions.
The second person is played by Jung Hae In, and I’m not kidding when I say the love triangle in this drama was something else.
10. Fated To Love You
You’ve probably already heard of this one, but suffice it to say that Daniel made it a full-time career to rankle as many feathers as possible.
11. The Forbidden Marriage
This love triangle drama served everything from face to the plot, and I genuinely couldn’t make up my mind between the two male leads – they were both so handsome and chivalrous and the fact that they were best friends was all the more sweeter.
One thing I’ll quickly say about this one is that, unlike other dramas where the second male lead doesn’t have a HEA, he had one in this drama and it was the cutest thing.

12. My Roommate Is A Nine-Tailed Fox
Shin Woo Yeo, a nine-tailed fox, and university student Lee Dam live together after she swallows a bead needed for his human transformation.
And it was so funny to me the way our 999-year-old nine-tailed fox was being tormented because of a guy in her class who had feelings for her.
13. Love Alarm
The entire premise of this drama is a love triangle between Kim Jo Jo, Hwang Sun Oh, and Lee Hye Yeong and while it isn’t a favorite, it’s a light watch anyone would appreciate.
14. Jealousy Incarnate
News anchor Hwa Shin and meteorologist Na Ri compete professionally, and soon enough they’re falling in love even though Hwa Shin literally had to physically restrain himself sometimes from people looking at his girl.
15. The Heirs
There’s this very popular scene in The Heirs where Eun Sang walks into the middle of Kim Tan and Young Do, two friends turned enemies, and their intense eye game was bonkers.
16. You Are Beautiful
You know, in a Korean drama where a girl pretends to be a boy, the first person to find out is usually the second male lead and he does all he can to protect her and she still doesn’t fall for him — that’s the entire plot of this idol drama.
17. Once Upon A Small Town
Veterinarian Han Ji Yool takes over his grandfather’s clinic in a small village, where he falls in love with police officer Ahn Ja Young, even though her best friend is already in love with her.
18. Hwarang
Young men in Silla during the 6th century and conscripted to join the hwarang, and soon enough, they’re learning and falling in love while growing into better people.
The plot of this one can’t be explained in short sentences, so suffice it to say that our male lead and the king both have feelings for the oblivious female lead.
19. Flower Boy Ramen Shop
University student Yang Eun Bi clashes with high school student Cha Chi Soo, who becomes intrigued by her toughness and soon love blooms.

20. My Princess
College student Lee Seol discovers she’s a princess, and Park Hae Young, tasked with educating her, falls in love despite their differences.
The catch is that Lee Seol has this major crush on her professor and when he steps in to sort of help her ease her way into her royal duties, it was so fantastic.
