Upcoming C-Drama Pegasus: Release Date, Cast, & Everything You Need To Know

Pegasus 2024 Chinese drama 1 1

It is only a few hours until the very first episode of Pegasus drops, and while the world waits, here’s everything you need to know about this 2024 Youku Chinese drama.

Zhang Chi (played by Wang Yan Lin) is a careless and arrogant racing champion who pulls a very risky, ill-advised move one day and almost dies as a result of it. Then he wakes up and finds out that he is now inhabiting the body of a 21-year-old man, Lin Zhen Dong.

So now, in the body of Lin Zhen Dong (played by Hu Xian Xu), he decides to do all he can to rewrite his actual life and prevent that bad event from happening to him again.

I know it all sounds a little wonky because usually, time travel dramas have the leads traveling back into their own bodies, but I am very optimistic and particularly close to seeing how Zhen Dong plays into Xian Xu’s own life.

The official trailer released on the Youku YouTube channel is very adrenaline-filled, fast-paced, and definitely promises a very thrilling adventure full of heart and comradeship.

The tags on MDL place this as being a funny sports drama, and I can definitely see it living up to this expectation, but I’m curious to see if there’ll be any romance. I’m personally here for any level of bromance we’re going to get, and it genuinely looks so good.

If the actor who plays Zheng Chen looks familiar, that might be because you recognize him from You Are My Glory, where he played Zhai Liang, the perma-stressed friend of our lead, or you might know him from Fireworks of my Heart, where he played a supporting role.

Pegasus is set to run for 28 episodes and will be available to stream from the 28th on both the Youku app and YouTube channel. New episodes will be released every day of the week, so I predict the running time is going to be shorter than most.
