Youku’s new costume drama, tentatively titled 十万狂花入梦来 (translating to A Hundred Thousand Wild Flowers Enter My Dreams), is set to start filming on July 23rd. 

The series will be directed by Zhong Qing, known for his work on In Blossom, Please Feel At Ease Mr. Ling, To Get Her, and Accidentally In Love.

The xianxia drama is adapted from the web novel Shi Wan Kuang Hua Ru Meng Lai (十万狂花入梦来) by Fresh Guo Guo (Fresh果果). Although the cast has not been officially confirmed, rumoured stars include Li Hongyi and Sun Zhenni.

According to a netizen, the drama revolves around Ya Mao, a character who appears harmless, sweet, and lively but is actually dark and cunning because she has powerful medicinal abilities that can heal the dead, whiten flesh, and achieve enlightenment. 

Bai Zhi, originally a goddess born from the aura of Tianguang, is reborn as Ya Mao after being killed. As Ya Mao, she is the only one who can kill Qi Fengyin, an elegant and handsome demon king composed of all the world’s evils. 

Ya Mao’s presence changes Qi Fengyin, and, soon enough, his cruel nature is transformed into something more wholesome. And, even though he acknowledges the depth of his feelings for her, he struggles with how much he has come to rely on her and ends up doing things that hurt her.

When Qi Fengyin finally finds out about Ya Mao’s true identity, he is willing to be destroyed by her and endure a century of suffering to return her to the divine world.
