This drama might have been billed as a business romance, but there are clearly a lot of political elements in the mix and I’m keen to see how they manage to handle this.

Zhao Lu Si has loads of experience with historicals — She played roles in Who Rules The World, The Long Ballad, and Oh! My Emperor – so I’m 100% certain that this drama is in good hands.

Liu Yu Ning who’s the male lead in this drama is also a very proficient actor and if you’ve watched Be Your Own Light and The Legend of Anle, you probably know him already.

He’s currently starring as Di Lin in the iQIYI drama Eternal Brotherhood and I’ve seen only rave reviews about it, so you should definitely check that one out.

What is giving me pause at the moment, though, is what to make of her chemistry with Liu Yu Ning in The Long Ballad.

I simply never felt a connection between the both of them, but I’m very curious to see how this turns out.
