Youku and SMG’s upcoming modern drama A Better Life has released a new trailer as filming concludes. 

Directed by Wang Jun, the series stars Sun Li, Dong Zijian, Myolie Wu, Gao Xin, Chen Yao, and Tong Lei, with special appearances by Vivian Wu and Liu Jun.

Also known as Man Hao De Ren Sheng (蛮好的人生), the drama follows Hu Man Li, a 39-year-old insurance professional who loses both her marriage and job while on the brink of achieving success. 

Her career downfall is orchestrated by 28-year-old Xue Xiao Zhou, who is revealed to be the instigator. Through several encounters, Hu Man Li and Xue Xiao Zhou move from initial conflict to mutual understanding. 

Hu Man Li decides to put aside past grievances and team up with Xue Xiao Zhou for a fresh start. Xue Xiao Zhou, now a top performer in the insurance industry, and Hu Man Li, returning to her professional roots, aim to rebuild their lives and careers together.

The series features 36 episodes and will air on Youku. A Better Life is simply the most wholesome story as it promises to go into the issue of career struggles and personal growth within a workplace setting.
