10 Can’t-Miss Korean Dramas With The Most Shocking Plot Twist

Who says Korean dramas are predictable? You’ll want to check out this post.

In the past few years, many absolutely amazing Korean dramas have been released, and I’m not kidding when I say they’re all so good.

And to kick up the fun even some more, these dramas have the sickest plot twists you’d ever seen, and I promise you’re going to love them.

1. Vagabond

Vagabond Korean drama

Mixing action and political intrigue, Vagabond follows Cha Dal Gun, a stuntman who becomes embroiled in a web of conspiracy after a mysterious plane crash that killed his young nephew.

Without giving away too much, just know that Dal Gun meets both friends and foes along the way, but what he didn’t expect was that his biggest nemesis was someone he had come to trust and respect.

2. Vincenzo

Vincenzo

In this drama, Vincenzo, a mafia consigliere, returns to Korea to find hidden gold but gets involved in a fight against a powerful conglomerate.

Before you start this drama, just know that there are multiple bad guys and the reveal in the first episodes will totally leave you gobsmacked.

Penthouse kdrama

If you’ve watched this Makjang (or even heard about it), you’d probably be expecting reveals all along the way, but some left me absolutely shocked.

This drama revolves around several wealthy families living in a luxury apartment complex with parents who’d do anything to secure their children’s future.

I’m not kidding when I say that this drama has everything from the old twin switcheroo to murder, to identity theft, to cruelty, to shocking lies.

4. Mouse

Mouse Korean drama

This is yet another Korean drama with massive plot twists that sent ripples through the Korean drama community.

I won’t say much about it, but just know that everything is never as it seems and the devil is absolutely in the details.

5. It’s Okay, That’s Love

Its okay thats love

A psychiatrist and a mystery writer fall in love, but they both have mental health issues that they need to overcome.

But the kicker is that both of them are unaware that the mental illness of one of them runs deeper than they acknowledged – so much so, that it even affects their perception of reality.

6. Memorist

Memorist kdrama

I know that I always recommend this thriller drama for one thing or the other, but it’s by far one of the best I’ve watched in the past decade, but it’s so underrated.

Anyway, this Korean drama dealt me the biggest plot twist yet and the reveal was so disturbing I actually cried – You’re going to be hooked from the first episode.

If you watched and loved Nam Koong Min in My Dearest, you’d want to give this one a chance because this is him at his most comfortable (he did say he loves doing thriller and it shows).

You guys, this drama literally kept playing with my head and by the time we got our reveal, I was totally petrified, so make sure to keep your eyes peeled.

8. Train

Train kdrama

Not a lot of people talk about this absolutely bonkers parallel world Korean drama and that’s a shame because it’s genuinely one of the best out there.

Starring Yoon Shi Yoon, this thriller Kdrama follows our lead who’s a traumatised detective investigating the source of bodies found in a train station when he loses his best friend/potential lover and accidentally finds out about the parallel world.

I know a lot of dramas are vying for your attention at the moment, but you haven’t watched thrillers if you haven’t given this one a chance, and trust me when I say you’d be flabbergasted when you find out the killer’s identity.

9. It’s Okay To Not Be Okay

Its okay to not be okay

Unlike the other Korean dramas in this post, this drama is a rom-com with thriller elements, so it’s heavy on the romance but the slightly fantastical and thriller tilt takes the cake.

In the final episodes or so, we learn that Moon Young might not be as crazy as someone had been making her out to be and that actually, some people were working in the back to mess with her mind.

10. Flower of Evil

Flower Of evil

And now for the OG Korean drama that won hearts far and wide because it delivered everything from romance to the thrills and chills.

To say that the reveal of the actual villain in this drama was dumbfounded is putting it lightly because I was totally not expecting it.
