I’ll start off by quickly describing what an easy-to-watch Chinese drama is to me – these are dramas with plot lines that aren’t too complicated. 

I know that loads of people have different ways of defining things like this, so if it helps, the dramas I’m about to list primarily fall into the category above. 

Here are some easy-to-watch Chinese dramas that will keep you glued to your screen:

1. A Love So Beautiful

In this lighthearted highschool Cdrama, Xiao Xi, a cheerful non-studious girl, has a secret crush on popular Jiang Chen. 

Alongside friends Lu Yang, Jing Xiao, and Wu Bo Song, they navigate high school to adulthood, creating a tapestry of memories.

2. Use For My Talent

Gu Ren Qi, who has a closed personality, and Shi Shuang Jiao, a messy person, find healing in Gu Ren Qi’s cleaning company. 

3. Wait My Youth

Literary enthusiast Su Can Can forms tight bonds with friends Mei Li, Tian Ye, Jia Ze, and Ya Ting.

From high school to 28, they share secrets and worries, and soon realize that their circle has remained constant.

4. Hidden Love

Sang Zhi reconnects with her childhood crush Duan Jia Xu at university, and soon, their day-to-day interactions gradually evolve into a heartfelt love story.

5. Well-Intended Love

Leukemia-stricken actress Xia Lin needs a bone marrow transplant, so she secretly ties the knot with CEO Ling Yi Zhou. 

This fake relationship drama is sweet, lovely, and interesting, and while there’s some mystery (especially surrounding one other character), it’s super easy to watch. 

6. Put Your Head On My Shoulder

Graduating accounting major Situ Mo’s life takes an unexpected turn when physics major Gu Weiyi enters. 

Clashes and cohabitation follow, and this leads to an unexpected journey as they unknowingly grow closer.

7. Who Rules The World

In this wuxia drama, Hei Feng Xi and Bai Feng Xi, opposites in skill and intellect, navigate martial arts and political chaos. 

Amidst warfare, conspiracies, and political unrest, their love blooms as they seek justice and peace.

8. Unrequited Love

Uni buddies Huai Nan and Luo Zhi hit it off until an ex’s message throws a wrench – turns out Luo Zhi has been secretly loving Huai Nan for a decade.

9. The Longest Promise

Princess Zhu Yan and Royal Prince Shi Ying’s love faces challenges as they choose opposing sides in a political struggle. 

United by their pledge to protect the Kong Sang Continent, their story unfolds against a backdrop of political intrigue.

10. Love O2O

Gaming expert Xiao Nai falls for computer science major Bei Wei Wei, and as they navigate both real and virtual worlds, their love story becomes a journey of levelling up.
